This recipe originally came from a ladies church cookbook from First Assembly of God in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It's not your typical mustard based potato salad.

Ingredients For shrimp potato salad

  • 4-5 c
    cubed, red potatoes (cooked)
  • 1 bag
    shrimp (small or medium is fine)
  • 2 Tbsp
    lime juice
  • 1 clove
    garlic
  • 1/2 c
    celery, diced
  • 1/4 c
    green onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 1/2 c
    mayonnaise (not miracle whip)
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp
    crushed tarragon
  • 1/4 tsp
    white pepper

How To Make shrimp potato salad

  • 1
    Rinse shrimp, mix with lime juice and chill.
  • 2
    Rub salad bowl with garlic clove.
  • 3
    Mix everything (but potatoes) well.
  • 4
    Salt potatoes to tasted.
  • 5
    Gently stir in potatoes.
  • 6
    Refrigerate. This potato salad needs a few hours in the refrigerator for best taste.
