Ingredients For waldorf salad with red cabbage & cider dressing

  • 1 lg
    granny smith or other tart green apple, cored but unpeeled
  • 1 lg
    delicious or other red apple, cored but unpeeled
  • 1 lg
    golden delicious apple, cored but unpeeled
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 2 c
    shredded red cabbage (about 1/4 pound)
  • 2
    stalks celery
  • 1/3 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1/3 c
    plain yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp
    cider or apple juice
  • 1 tsp
    dijon mustard
  • 2/3 c
    raisins
  • 1/2 c
    chopped walnuts

How To Make waldorf salad with red cabbage & cider dressing

    Dice the apples. Place them in a salad bowl and toss with the lemon juice. Finely shred the cabbage. Dice the celery.

    In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, yogurt, cider and mustard. Add the cabbage, celery, raisins, walnuts and dressing to the apples in the salad bowl and toss to combine. You could also add turkey or chicken to it as well. Enjoy!
