Wow, am I excited to find this great project to work on with my nephews. I want to make one for myself and a few family members too. I am posting what I found on a few websites pics and details but as soon a I make one I will post what I have done. I just thought if anyone wanted to do this with their kids or a classroom project I would get it posted now. So, there will be updates to this recipe in the next few weeks. What a beautiful idea. They can be made for inside, outside and a larger version in a section of your yard too. Oh, if you make one please come back and share a pic with me.

Ingredients For easter garden

  • WHAT YOU NEED FOR YOUR EASTER GARDEN
  • a shallow tray or dish
  • garden soil or potting compost
  • moss, cut grass or sand
  • dried twigs
  • sewing thread
  • small pot
  • flat stone large enough to cover the mouth of the pot
  • egg cups (or other small containers)
  • small flowers
  • gravel

How To Make easter garden

    If you need a creative way to teach your children the Easter story, look no further. Mold a hill out of compost in a shallow tray. Decorate the hill with moss and cut grass and place three crosses made of twigs on top of the hill. Push a small pot into the side of the hill to represent the tomb and cover the pot with a large flat stone. Decorate around the tomb with egg cups filled with water and fresh cut flowers. Finally, form a gravel path leading from the mountain and talk about what the disciples found.
