    Bhringaraj Bhringaraj oil is a popular Ayurvedic remedy for hair loss and is derived from a creeping herb native to India. Also called eclipta alba, the plant contains a compound that acts much like estrogen in the body and is thought to be a remedy for rejuvenation. To use bhringaraj for hair loss, apply the oil directly to the scalp and massage vigorously. Leave it on overnight and shampoo your hair in the morning. Alfalfa Juice Another popular remedy is a mixed drink consisting of the juice of alfalfa, carrots and lettuce, consumed daily. The nutrients in these vegetables are believed to correct copper deficiency, which is thought to be one cause of hair loss. Urad Dal and Fenugreek A paste of urad dal, or black beans, and fenugreek is another Ayurvedic remedy. To make it, cook some urad dal until they're tender and mix them with fresh fenugreek until you have a concoction the consistency of a paste. Massage the paste into the scalp and rinse. Repeat this two to three times a week. Mustard Oil and Henna Mustard oil and henna leaves are both common ingredients in Ayurvedic medicine. To make a scalp massage oil to help promote hair growth, start by boiling a cup of mustard oil and adding four tablespoons of henna leaves. Let the mixture simmer for about five minutes, remove it from heat and strain. Pour the liquid into a closed container and massage into the scalp daily. Coconut Oil Another Ayurvedic hair loss remedy involves rubbing coconut oil on the scalp and the soles of the feet nightly. The oil and massage are thought to increase blood circulation to the hair follicles and thereby stimulate hair growth.
