I've been making my own liquid Shout (or Spray 'N Wash) for over 30 years. It's so much cheaper than the store brands, and it's just as good as the leading brands. You can use any brand of liquid laundry detergent to make this stain remover (except for the bleach alternative laundry detergent).

Ingredients For homemade shout or spray 'n wash

  • 1-empty
    spray bottle, or dishwashing liquid detergent bottle
  • Equal
    amounts of liquid laundry detergent, ammonia & water

How To Make homemade shout or spray 'n wash

  • 1
    Pour equal amounts of liquid laundry detergent, ammonia, and water into an empty spray bottle, or an empty dishwashing liquid detergent bottle.

    Apply the liquid shout to your stained laundry, before you wash your clothes.

    Take a toothbrush, and gently brush the liquid shout into the garment really good.
  • 4
    Toss the garment into your wash machine, along with your laundry detergent, and wash your clothing as you normally do.
