I couldn't find any ground turkey at the super market, so bought two pounds of turkey tenderloins and ground it myself in my food processor. The trick is not to over process, it only takes a few seconds to grind it up. I divided mine in 3 batches so they would process faster.

If you choose to ground up your own meat buy 2 lbs of turkey tenderloin and grind it up. That's what I did. I added the turkey bacon, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, basil and turkey base in with the turkey as it was grinding up. If you buy the meat already ground up, I suggest you grind the turkey bacon up so it isn't in big chunks.

Put your meat in a bowl and add all the other ingredients for the meat loaf.
  • 4
Place the ground meat mixture in your loaf pan and form it into a loaf and bake it for 1 hour. Then remove from the oven and add the topping spreading evenly on the top. Pop it back into the oven for the last 15 minutes to set the topping.
