1 1/2 Tbspfresh lime juice

1 Tbspextra-virgin olive oil

2 tspserrano chile, seeded and finely chopped

1avocado, peeled and diced

1/2 tspsalt, divided

1 tspground cumin

1 tsppaprika

1/2 tspgarlic powder

1/2 tspchipotle chile powder

1/4 tspground cinnamon

2new york strip steaks, trimmed (8 ounces each)

1Preheat your grill to high.

2Place the first 6 ingredients in a bowl; gently stir in 1/4 teaspoon salt. Set aside.

3Combine the remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt, cumin, and the next 4 ingredients (through cinnamon) in a bowl; rub the spice mixture over both sides of the steaks.

4Place the steaks on the grill rack coated with cooking spray; grill 3 minutes on each side or until the desired degree of doneness is reached. Let stand 5 minutes; cut across the grain into thin slices. Serve with the salsa.
