This is a recipe that my Grandmother always referred to simply as slop, but don't let the name fool you. It is a simple and delicious comfort food!!

Ingredients For "slop" (a yummy pork chop recipe)

  • 4
    pork chops (with or without the bone you pick)
  • 1 can
    cut green beans
  • 1 can
    yellow wax beans
  • 1 12oz pkg
    frozen sliced carrots
  • 1 can
    cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 can
    milk (using the soup can for measurement)

How To Make "slop" (a yummy pork chop recipe)

    Preheat oven for 350 degrees Season your pork chops with a bit of salt and pepper then pan sear them in a bit of butter in a frying pan for 3-4 minutes per side.

    Place pork chops in a baking dish, then add the two types of beans and carrots on top of that.

    Mix your soup with the milk and pour this on top of everything in your baking dish.

    Cover the pan and bake for 30 minutes. This is good served with your favorite mashed potatoes or with noodles or rice if you can't do potatoes.
