Ingredients For chicharrones my way

  • 1 lb
    pork skin or pork belly, sliced 3x1 1/2 inches
  • 1 Tbsp
    everglades seasoning**more or less**

How To Make chicharrones my way

    wash and season pork skin. place pork on a large cookie sheet.

    preheat you oven to 250 degrees. bake for 3 hours. remove pork from cookie sheet. allow to cool and refrigerate over night.

    heat your deep fryer to 350 degrees. deep fry for 10-12 minutes or until crispy. drain on paper towels. **the original way to fry chicharrones, is to fry the pork in it's own fat in a deep pot. i like to save rendered lard for frying potatoes, add it to your greens, etc. either way, they will be delicious. serve with your favorite dipping sauce...i love them with some spicy salsa.
