My family loves having this on a cold day, it really warms them up. It's thick like a stew so I love to serve it with homemade dinner rolls, so they can dip them in the gravy. Oh so yummy and it is easy on the pocket book.

Ingredients For cheesy ham and potatoes

  • 1 pkg
    country style gravy mix (enough to make 2 cups)
  • 1 can
    cream of chicken soup (or mushroom)
  • 5 c
    water
  • 1 tsp
    cream of tartar
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    ground pepper
  • 8 c
    peeled and cubed potatoes
  • 4 c
    cooked and cubed ham (leftover works great)
  • 2 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded

How To Make cheesy ham and potatoes

    Mix the first six(6) ingredients together in a six to eight quart slow cooker until well blended.

    Stir in your cubed ham and potatoes.

    Turn your slow cooker to low and cook for 6-8 hours.

    When done turn off your slow cooker and stir in your cheddar cheese until it's all melted. Serve with rolls,toast or biscuits!
