Many years ago I cut this recipe out of the newspaper and thought I would give it a try.To my surprise the family really liked it and still ask for me to make it.I usually make 2 of the recipe to make sure there is plenty.

Ingredients For baked italian sausage and potatoes

  • 6 to8
    sweet italian sausage
  • 3 large
    potatoes,peeled
  • 1 Tbsp
    oil
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter or oleo
  • 1
    onion,peeled and sliced
  • salt,pepper,and oregano

How To Make baked italian sausage and potatoes

    Cut potatoes in half lengthwise.Cut each half crosswise into one-forth inch slices.

    Generously grease bottom of shallow casserole with oil(may use Pam).

    Arrange sliced potatoes in casserole.Season with salt,pepper,and oregano.

    Dot with butter.Top with sliced onion.

    Cut sausages into forths.Place on top of onions.Sprinkle with oregano.

    Bake uncovered for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Stir and bake 30 minutes more.
