Ingredients For steakhouse burger casserole

  • 2 c
    chopped cooked onion rings,divided
  • 12 oz
    uncooked ziti
  • 2 tsp
    olive oil
  • 1
    red onion,diced
  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 tsp
    steak seasoning
  • 1 tsp
    dried oregano
  • 1 tsp
    dried basil
  • 1 tsp
    seasoned pepper
  • 3/4 c
    steak sauce
  • 1 1/2 c
    crumbled blue cheese
  • 8
    white american cheese slices
  • 1/4 c
    shredded parmesan cheese

How To Make steakhouse burger casserole

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Sprinkle with 1 cup chopped onion rings into bottom of a 4 quart casserole dish.

    Cook pasta according to package directions;drain and set aside.

    Meanwhile,heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat;add diced red onion and saute 2 minutes.Add beef and cook until browned,breaking up meat with a spoon as it cooks,about 3 to 5 minutes;drain off any fat and set pan back over medium heat.

    Add steak seasoning,oregano,basil and seasoned pepper;stir to coat beef.Stir in steak sauce and bring mixture to a boil;reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.

    Spoon a half amount of beef-onion mixture into a prepared baking dish;top with half of cooked ziti.Next layer with half crumbled blue cheese,layer with remaining beef-onion mixture and remaining ziti and then sprinkle with remaining blue cheese,white american and parmesan cheese and finally top with remaining chopped onion rings.
