Growing up in the good old days, when mom's didn't work and there was only one income to a household from our dads, there were a lot of dishes intended to go a long way. This dish has been transformed only a little and has withstood the test of time.

Ingredients For quick goulash

  • 1 lb
    italian hamburger (hamburger seasoned with garlic powder, italian seasoning, oregano, basil or thyme)
  • 12 oz
    macaroni, small shell, elbow or rotini, cooked
  • 2 can
    tomato soup
  • 1 can
    cheddar cheese soup
  • 11 1/2 oz
    spicy v8 juice, optional
  • 1/2 c
    onion, diced, sauteed, optional (i use the frozen diced onions to eliminate prep time)

How To Make quick goulash

  • 1
    Cook your hamburger with seasonings. Cook onions with hamburger if adding them to your dish. Drain excess grease.

    Meanwhile cook your macaroni according to package directions.

    Mix hamburger and macaroni together.
  • 4
    Add the soups and Spicy V8 and heat thoroughly.
