This was a spur of the moment, made-up dish when my daughters were little. It's become our own family in-a-pinch meal. It costs next to nothing and uses on-hand ingredients. Use more/less macaroni, celery and onion according to what you like. The amounts I've listed are just a starting point. I also like it with the ground beef just a bit over-browned.

Ingredients For macaroni bouillon

  • 1 1/4 c
    raw macaroni
  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • ~~
    salt, pepper, garlic powder
  • 4
    celery stalks, sliced thin
  • 1 md
    onion, chopped
  • 1 can
    condensed beef bouillon soup, undiluted

How To Make macaroni bouillon

    Cook the macaroni and set aside. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the sliced celery. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Add the chopped onions and cook until the celery and onions are tender.

    Add the macaroni and condensed beef bouillon soup. Heat until hot.

    Serve with a tossed green salad.
