6pork loin chops, cut 1/2 inch thick

1 can(1 lb, 4 oz) pineapple chunks (juice packed)

1/2 cplum jam

1 Tbspvinegar

1 Tbspsoy sauce

1/4 tspground ginger

4green onions, sliced
How To Make glazed pork chops

1Trim fat from chops, cook trimmings in electric skillet at 350 F until 1 tablespoon of fat is accumulated. Discard trimmings

2Brown chops well on both sides in drippings. Reduce heat to 220 F. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

3Drain the pineapple, reserving the juice. Combine 1/2 cup pineapple juice, plum jam, vinegar, soy sauce, and ginger; poor over chops.

4Cover and simmer 25 minutes, adding 1/4 cup more juice if needed. Add pineapple chunks and onions. Spoon pan juices over chops Cover, cook until hot.
