Ingredients For beef stroganoff (betty)

2 lbsirloin steak

8 ozegg noodles, medium

2 csour cream

1/4 cflour

2 tspgarlic salt

1/4 cketchup

1/3 cinstant minced onion

2 cancondensed beef broth
-
6 ozmushrooms, sliced and drained

1/4 cbutter
-
3 Tbspbutter
How To Make beef stroganoff (betty)

1Cut meat across the grain into 3/4-inch slices, then into strips 3 x 1/4 inch.

2Melt 1/4 cup butter in a large skillet.

3Cook and stir mushrooms in butter about 5 minutes, remove mushrooms.

4In same skillet, brown meat.

5Reserving 2/3 cup of broth, stir in remaining broth, the onion, ketchup and garlic salt.

6Cover and simmer 15 minutes.

7Blend reserved broth and the flour; stir into meat.

8Add mushrooms; heat to boiling, stirring constantly.

9Boil and stir 1 minute.

10Stir in sour cream, heat through.

11Cook noodles as directed on package; drain.

12Toss with 3 tablespoons butter.

13Serve with stroganoff.
