This recipe was given to me by a very dear friend. She notes that instead of the bottled dressing, she likes to mix mayonnaise and sweet chili sauce to use instead.

Ingredients For seafood louis rolls

  • 1/2 c
    bottled thousand island or russian dressing
  • 1 Tbsp
    fresh lemon juice
  • 1/8 tsp
    each curry, salt, pepper
  • 2 c
    cooked seafood: lobster, shrimp, crab or combination
  • 1/4 c
    celery, finely diced
  • 1 Tbsp
    fresh chives, diced
  • 4
    split and toasted sandwich rolls
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter or margarine, softened
  • lettuce leaves

How To Make seafood louis rolls

  • 1
    Whisk together dressing, lemon juice, curry, salt and pepper. Add seafood, celery, and chives. Combine well.

    Spread toasted buns with butter. Line with lettuce and fill with salad.

    NOTE: Chopped hard-cooked eggs can be added to the salad to make it a more authentic "Louis."
