saturday night bean casserole

This was one a my favorites growing up. Mom would serve French Toast, as the side for it. No syrup, coat bread and my Dad was the "french toast cooker". I know this sounds strange, but they went well with each other. And still does today!!!

Ingredients For saturday night bean casserole

  • 1 can
    pineapple slices, 9 oz
  • 2 can
    baked beans, 1lb size
  • 1 can
    treet
  • 2 Tbsp
    dark molasses
  • 1/2 tsp
    dry mustard
  • whole cloves

How To Make saturday night bean casserole

  • 1
    Drain pineapple, reserve juice, slice in half.

    In a 1 1/2 qt baking dish, mix baked beans and pineapple together.

    Slice Treet into 6 triangles, place on top of beans, plice half pineapple on top of Treet, put 3 or 4 cloves in pineapple.

    Mix juice, molasses and mustard together, pour over meat. Bake at 375, for 30 minutes
