I use my leftover mashed potatoes to do this but I will give you guys the recipe as I got it. It is tasy and easy.

Ingredients For easy shepards pie

  • 6 lg
    potatoes, peeled, chopped, boiled and made into mashed potatoes
  • 1 1/2 lb
    hamburger, cooked and drained
  • 1 jar
    beef flavored gravy, the large one
  • 1/4 tsp
    rosemary, dried
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    thyme, dried
  • 1/2 tsp
    sage
  • 3/4 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1
    onion small

How To Make easy shepards pie

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

    Spread hamburger on bottom of 13 x 9 baking pan.

    Sprinkle onion on top of the hamburger.
  • 4
    Pour gravy over burger and onion.
  • 5
    Sprinkle on top of the gravy the rosemary, pepper, sage and thyme.

    Spread the mashed potatoes on top of that.
  • 7
    Sprinkle cheese on top of the potatoes.

    Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until gravy is bubbly and cheese is melted.
