Another recipe from my Middle Eastern friends, tweaked slightly by me over the years, but still faithful to the basics of it.

Ingredients For chelow kebab

1 1/2 lbground lamb (beef can be used)

One mdyellow onion, grated

Two clovegarlic, chopped or smashed

One pinchdried dill
-
One dashpepper (or lemon pepper)

One dashsalt or garlic salt (or powder)
-
Two lgplum tomatoes, sliced lengthwise
-
1 1/2 csliced mushrooms
-
cooked rice; i prefer white
How To Make chelow kebab

1Mix ground meat, spices, onion, and garlic in a mixing bowl. Form meat mixture into cylindrical patties. Place on broiler pan and place in stove and broil.

2When the tops of the patties are starting to brown, sprinkle the mushrooms around the patties and continue to broil.

3Just before you are ready to serve, place the plum tomatoes, inside down on top of meat, and broil for a few minutes more, making sure that the tomatoes do not burn. Serve over rice.
