Trying to cut down sodium? Best way I've found is to read labels. Taco Seasoning packs a lot of excess salt. So I've started making my own. And it's Gluten free to boot. I would quadruple the recipe and put it in an airtight container to use to spice up many different things. *Makes 6 TBSP Enough to season 3 lbs of Beef

Ingredients For homemade taco seasoning

  • 2 Tbsp
    onion powder
  • 2 Tbsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    cumin
  • 1 tsp
    oregano, dried
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    cornstarch
  • 1 tsp
    sugar

How To Make homemade taco seasoning

    Mix everything together in a glass jar or other airtight container. Close container and shake. Viola!

    Use for Ground beef in tacos. To season homemade tortilla chips. Use on french fries, chicken, steak.
