Ingredients For my penne pasta

  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground round
  • 6 slice
    thick cut bacon, chopped
  • 1 md
    sweet onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp
    dried italian seasoning
  • 1 can
    14.5oz. diced tomatoes
  • 1 jar
    15 oz. spaghetti sauce
  • 1 can
    12oz. can tomato paste
  • 1 box
    penne pasta
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 pkg
    8 oz. sargento 6 italian cheese

How To Make my penne pasta

    Brown your bacon and onion in a medium saucepan until bacon is cooked and onion is transparent. In a large dutch oven pot brown your burger, then add your bacon/onion mixture.

    Add your Italian seasoning, diced tomatoes, spaghetti sauce, paste, salt & pepper, and garlic powder you may need to add 1/2 c or so of water if your sauce is too thick. Blend and cook at medium heat for about 25 minutes or until heated through.

    In another large pot boil your penne pasta noodles according to box directions. Pour cooked penne in a 13x9, then add and stir your sauce gently then add the whole bag of cheese (sprinkle with your hand evenly on top) Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until baked and cheese is lightly golden.
