Ingredients For grandma gegel's fondue

2 Tbspminced garlic

1/4 lbgruyere cheese, cubed

1/4 lbgouda cheese, cubed

1/4 lbemmenthaler, cubed

1 1/2 Tbspall purpose flour

2 cdry white wine
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
1/8 tspcayenne pepper

1 dashnutmeg
-
2 Tbspbrandy or cognac

2loaves of french bread cubed

2apples chopped
How To Make grandma gegel's fondue

1Dredge cheese with flour. Rub pot( I make it on the stove and then transfer it to the fondue pot ) with garlic. Add wine and heat until it bubbles not boils. Then add the cheese a handful at a time. Stir constantly. Bring mixture to a bubble for an instant and then add the remaining ingredients. Stir until well blended and keep hot over portable burner. Serve with bread cubed and apples.
