Ingredients For bourbon molasses bbq chicken.

  • BRINE
  • 2/3 c
    salt
  • 2/3 c
    bourbon (i use jack daniels)
  • 1/2 c
    molasses
  • 8 c
    water
  • 2 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 2 tsp
    crazy chicken blend from "the spice and tea exchange"
  • 2 tsp
    brown mustard
  • 1 c
    pineapple chunks, fresh
  • 1 tsp
    pepper
  • 8-9
    chicken pieces, bone in
  • READY TO GRILL
  • 1 bottle
    kc masterpiece bourbon bbq sauce

How To Make bourbon molasses bbq chicken.

    Put salt, bourbon, molasses and water in large saucepan. Heat on medium low heat until salt melts. Add remaining brine ingredients except chicken. Heat through and cool completely.

    Put chicken in a gallon bag. Add two cups of ice. Add cooled brine and refrigerate overnight.

    Remove chicken from brine and dry it off.

    Place chicken on grill and baste with BBQ sauce each time you turn the chicken. I usually turn every 7-8 minutes. Should be done in 35-40 minutes.
