Ingredients For touchdown chili

1 lb90% lean ground beef

1 mdjalapeno pepper, seeded and minced

2 cchopped onion

2 clovegarlic, minced

2 can(14.5 oz.) stewed tomatoes, mexican style

1 can(15.5 oz.) red kidney beans, rinsed and well-drained (can substitute no-salt added)

1 or 2 Tbspchili powder
-
1 Tbspcumin
-
1/2 tsppepper
How To Make touchdown chili

1In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, brown beef with jalapeno, onion, and garlic over medium-high heat. Drain fat from pan.

2Add remaining ingredients, cover, and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and cook, stirring occasionally for 20 minutes.

3Serve with optional toppings of chopped scallions, cilantro, grated cheese or sour cream.
