Ingredients For beef burgundy

    salt pork, diced
  • 1 pkg
    frozen pearl oninos
  • 4 lb
    lean chuck beef, cut into 2 inch cubes
  • salt to taste
  • white pepper to taste
  • 2 clove
    garlic crushed and minced
  • 2
    bay leaves
  • 1
    peice orange peel
  • 1 tsp
    thyme, dried
  • 4 lg
    fresh parsley sprigs
  • 1/2 tsp
    fresh nutmeg, grated
  • 1/2 tsp
    marjorum, dried
  • 1 bottle
    red burgundy wine
  • 24 md
    cremini mushrooms

How To Make beef burgundy

    In a large Dutch oven with lid, brown pork and brown onions. Remove onions and brown beef.

    Return pork to pan and add salt, pepper, garlic. bay leaves, orange peel, thyme, parsley, nutmeg, and marjoram.

    Barely cover with wine. Cover tightly and cook on low heat for 2 hours and 45 minutes.

    Add onions and mushrooms and cook 15 minutes more. Serve with French bread.
