Ingredients For my mom's spaghetti sauce

  • 2 can
    campbell tomato soup + 2 cans of water(other brands don't taste as good)
  • 1 lg
    onion diced
  • 1 lb
    lean hamburger
  • 2 Tbsp
    garlic
  • 2 Tbsp
    italian seasoning
  • 1/4 c
    ketchup
  • spaghetti noodles

How To Make my mom's spaghetti sauce

    In skillet, cook hamburger and onion until no longer pink, drain, return to skillet.

    In large pot, start 5 quarts water to boil. When rolling boil, add noodles. Cook as directed on package ( my mom taught me to put a couple pats of butter in the water, she said it would help keep water from boiling over), drain and coat with butter.

    Start Sauce while waiting for water to boil: add the soup, garlic, water, ketchup and seasoning. Bring sauce to slow simmer....do not boil! Let sauce simmer while noodles cook. Sauce is ready when noodles are finished.
