Ingredients For catfish supreme

  • 2
    fresh catfish fillets
  • 1 lg
    egg (beaten)
  • 1 Tbsp
    honey
  • 1/2 stick
    butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp
    seasoning salt
  • 1/2 c
    bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp
    lemon pepper
  • 1 tsp
    dried parsley flakes
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil

How To Make catfish supreme

  • 1
In a bowl, beat egg and combine with honey and butter. Make sure butter is just warm, not hot; we don’t want to scramble the egg. In a second bowl, combine the seasoning salt, bread crumbs, lemon pepper and parsley in a bowl
  • 2
Brush the liquid mixture on the top side of the catfish fillet and sprinkle evenly with the dry mixture.
  • 3
Heat a large skillet on low to medium heat and add olive oil. Place catfish fillet breading side down into pan. While this is cooking, brush egg mixture on top side and sprinkle with bread crumb mixture. Cook each side until crispy brown, about three to four minutes per side. Do not overcook!

NOTES: Catfish fillets can also be baked at 350° for about 45 minutes instead of cooking in skillet. Make sure to flip fillets over at halfway point. Serve with wild or brown rice, or vegetables of choice
