    chicken leg and thigh quarters
  • BBQ SAUCE
  • 1/2 c
    ketchup
  • 1/4 c
    water
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp
    prepared mustard
  • 1 clove
    garlic, minced
  • dash salt
  • 1/4 to 1/2 tsp
    hot pepper sauce
  • 1
    bay leaf

How To Make down home barbequed chicken

    In small saucepan, combine all sauce ingredients; bring to a boil, stirring ccasionally. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 30 minutes. 2. Discard bay leaf. Reserve 1/3 cup sauce for basting. Cover and refrigerate the remaining sauce. 3. Prepare grill for indirect heat Put chicken over a drip pan. Grill, covered, over medium heat for 20 minutes. Turn; grill 15-25 minutes longer or until juices run clear, basting occasionally with reserved sauce. Serve with remaining sauce.
