My husband also enjoys cooking and grilling and one of his favorite things to make is Chili which he has never made the same way twice. He has won some Chili Contests too! This is one version of his Chili and thankfully I happened to have pen and paper in hand to write down as he was making it! If not it would have been another lost Ramsey Recipe!

Ingredients For using what you got chili by dave ramsey

    leftover london broil steak, grilled, cut into chunks
  • 1 lb
    cooked turkey strips cut into chunks
  • 3
    ears of green corn on the cob, removed from cob
  • 1/2 md
    onion, chopped
  • 1 md
    green onion, chopped
  • 1 lg
    yellow tomatoe, chopped
  • 3
    cayenne peppers, chopped
  • 1
    15.5 oz black beans (not drained)
  • 1
    15.5 oz. chili beans (not drained)
  • 14 oz
    ketchup
  • 4
    garlic cloves, chopped
  • 3 tsp
    cumin
  • 3 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1 can
    yueling lager beer

How To Make using what you got chili by dave ramsey

    Put your meats in a large kettle, drizzle with olive oil and cook on medium low until brown for 15 minutes.

    Add the corn (removed from the cob), onion, pepper, yellow tomatoe, cayenne peppers, both beans, ketchup, garlic and spices and 1/2 can of lager. cook on low for 35 minutes to 40 minutes with lid on. (He says it keeps all the nutrients in your chili). After 40 minutes add the remaining beer and continue to simmer until nice and hot.
