Ingredients For stuffed peppers

  • 6-8
    bell peppers
  • 3 lb
    hamburger
  • 1 md
    onion
  • 2 lg
    cans diced tomatoes
  • 1
    can tomato soup
  • 4 c
    uncooked brown rice
  • salt and pepper

How To Make stuffed peppers

    Brown hamburger with diced onion.While this is cooking,clean seeds and tops from your peppers.Cook rice as directed on box.Always drain the fat off the burger.Throw meat and onion,tomatoes,soup and salt and pepper into a roasting pan.Blend it well.Stuff this mixture into peppers.Put filled peppers back into remaining mixture in pan.

    Put lid on pan and put in 350 degree oven for 1 hour.If the family likes it,cover with shredded cheese when you take from the oven.Leave lid on for 10 minutes to let cheese melt and your dinner to cool down a bit.

    Always serve with a generous helping of cottage cheese.It tastes good together and helps cool it down for the kids.To stretch it out to feed even more,serve with some buttered potatoes.
