Ingredients For shepard's pie

  • 1 1/2 lb
    of ground beef, or ground turkey, or ground chicken..prefer the beef though
  • 1 can
    cream style corn
  • 1 pkg
    frozen mixed vegetables, or any you prefer
  • 1 c
    broth
  • 2 c
    mashed potatoes/or instant mashed potatoes
  • 1 pkg
    pillsbury biscuits
  • 4 Tbsp
    of butter

How To Make shepard's pie

  • 1
    Brown meat in pan and drain grease drippings add salt and pepper
  • 2
    Place Meat in 9 x 13 inch baking dish
  • 3
    Place thawed frozen vegetables on top of meat
  • 4
    Pour can of cream corn over top
  • 5
    Top with Mashed Potatoes and spread to cover meat mixture...dot with butter
  • 6
    Place in a 350 degree oven for 40 minutes. and last 5 minutes turn temp up to 425 to brown and crust up potatoes

    place Biscuits in oven per directions on package and serve

    Alternative choices to this dish are to 1. place potatoes on bottom of dish instead of on top 2. place the biscuits on top of mixture and bake for a delicious crunchy bake
