Ingredients For russ's sloppy joe

  • 1 lg
    onion (chopped)
  • 1
    green pepper (chopped)
  • 2 clove
    garlic (minced)
  • 2 lb
    ground beef
  • 2 c
    ketchup
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 c
    barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 c
    cider vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
    mustard
  • 1 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1 tsp
    italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper

How To Make russ's sloppy joe

    In a skillet, cook beef, onions, peppers and garlic over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink. Drain and return to skillet.

    In a mixing bowl, stir together all remaining ingredients. Pour over meat mixture and stir well.

    Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Note: Can also be prepared using ground turkey instead of beef.
