Ingredients For potato au gratin casserole

  • 1 lb
    ground beef or turkey
  • 1 md
    onion, diced
  • 1/2 md
    bell pepper, diced
  • 1 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 2 box
    betty crocker au gratin potatoes
  • 3 c
    2 percent mild
  • 3 Tbsp
    tony chachere cajun seasoning
  • 2 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • salt and pepper

How To Make potato au gratin casserole

    Heat oven to 350 degrees, gather ingredients, spray 13x9x2" baking dish with nonstick spray. In a skillet brown your ground beef or turkey strain off grease. set aside.

    Take diced onion and pepper and mix with ground beef. Sprinkle in cajun seasoning, onion and garlic powder and salt and pepper, taste. adjust seasoning if needed.

    Fix au gratin potatoes according to package directions and pour over ground beef mixture. Put in the oven, center rack for about 40-45 minutes covered with lid or foil.

    Its done when bubbly and creamy, take foil off, sprinkle with cheese. Cut the oven off, the cheese will melt over the dish. Serve hot with green salad and bread.
