This is delicious and can be prepared up to a day in dvance and refrigerated until ready to bake. You can substitute any of your favorite pizza toppings. Served with a salad, it's perfect.

Ingredients For pizza casserole

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp
    chopped garlic
  • 1
    onion chopped
  • 1
    green pepper chopped
  • 3 Tbsp
    parmesan cheese
  • 2 c
    pizza sauce
  • 1/4 lb
    sliced pepperoni
  • 1 tsp
    italian seasoning
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1 Tbsp
    oil
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 c
    flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 2-3 c
    shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 c
    grated parmesan cheese

How To Make pizza casserole

    Heat oven to 400. Grease a 13x9 inch baking dish. In a large skillet, cook ground beef with onion, garlic and green pepper until meat is no longer pink. Drain fat. Add in 3 T or more of grated Parmesan cheese, stir. Add in pizza sauce, sliced pepperoni and herb seasoning. Simmer for 15 mins, stirring occasionally. While the sauce mix is simmering, combine milk, oil and eggs. Beat for 2 mins. Stir in flour, salt, pepper. Spoon the sauce mix into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top.Pour the batter over the cheese, spreading evenly to cover completely. Sprinkle with the 1/2 c of parmesan. Bake 20-25 mins until golden brown.
