    meatballs, cooked, 1-inch (2.5cm) in diameter
  • 8 oz
    yummy italian sauce‬‬
  • 4 oz
    fresh mozzarella, shredded‬‬

    Gather your ingredients.

    Chef's Tip: I make the meatballs ahead of time (about 100), and freeze them. That way I always have some on hand for unexpected parties.

    Place a rack in the middle position, and preheat the oven to 375f (190c).

    Add the sauce and the meatballs to a skillet (I use cast iron).

    Chef’s Note: If this skillet looks familiar it’s the ones that they use at Holiday Inns to serve their skillet breakfasts. When one of the inns closed, I picked up about 15 of them. The diameter of the skillet is 6 inches (15cm).

    Chef’s Tip: To make this a one-dish recipe, the skillet will be used for the serving/presentation.

    Slowly bring up to a simmer, about 5 to 7 minutes.

    Remove from heat, and top with the mozzarella.

    Place in the oven and bake until the cheese begins to brown, about 8 to 10 minutes.

    Place the skillet on a heatproof trivet, and serve with some nice crusty Italian bread. Enjoy
