g's ultimate burger

I have experimented with different burgers for years, this one has become my go to recipe. The burger stands itself with any and all condiments, I like it with the griiling sauce, but you choose to use it or not.

Ingredients For g's ultimate burger

  • 1 1/2 lb
    well marbled, chuck top blade steaks or your favorite roast meat
  • 3 slice
    bacon, uncooked
  • 1 md
    yellow onions
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 c
    g'srilling sauce
  • 4
    of your favorite rolls
  • your favorite condiments
  • G'SRILLING SAUCE
  • 3 Tbsp
    molasses
  • 3 Tbsp
    ketchup
  • 3 Tbsp
    lime juice
  • 2 Tbsp
    dijon mustard
  • 2 Tbsp
    oyster sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp
    granulated garlic
  • 1 tsp
    ancho chili powder

How To Make g's ultimate burger

    If you don't already have some, and you are using, put together the grilling sauce. Combine ingredients in small saucepan, bring to boil, reduce to med. and reduce by a third.

    Trim excess fat from meat, and cut into 1 inch cubes. Put half the cubes in a food processor and pulse 8 or 10 times. Just enough to get desired hamburger consistency. Pulse remaining meat in same manner

    Peel and grate the onion. Place onion on double thick piece of cheesecloth and ring out juice.

    Place meat in large bowl, chop bacon fine and add,season with salt and pepper and onion juice and hand mix. Divide meat and form into same size patties. Cover with plastic wrap and put in fridge for 1/2 hour

    Fire up grill, and wet a handful of hickory chips. Remove patties from fridge, set on counter. Prepare grill for Med. heat, direct heat cooking.

    Grill patties directly over heat for 4 minutes then turn and brush with sauce, ( if using ) Grill this side down 3 or 4 minutes then turn and brush with sauce Heat a couple more minutes to desired doneness.

    Put on plate, bun, waffle, fried egg, whatever you like . Add your choice of condiments. Share, enjoy
