Better than any boxed mix on the market shelf, yet easy. This dish has always been a hit in my family. I remember my sister babysitting a family and the mom called up when she got home and wanted that recipe that my sister had made for the kids to eat for supper. Make it with low fat ingredients for a diet conscious meal. Whichever way you make it, you will make it over and over again!

  • 1 can
mushroom soup, low fat or regular
  • 1 can
milk, low-fat or regular (soup can)

  • mushrooms, chopped, optional, to taste

How To Make easy hamburger skillet dish

  • 1
Brown ground beef with onion and celery in skillet sprayed with cooking spray. If you like the celery to be crunchy, add it with the soup/milk later. Season beef with salt and pepper.
  • 2
Add soup and milk, (celery,) mushrooms, and noodles. Stir. Cover pan and turn on low heat.Let cook, stirring occasionally, until noodles are tender. Sometimes I stir the dish and it seems soupy, yet the noodles are tender. If that happens I leave off the lid and stir a minute or two to absorb the liquid. Try not to let the milk come to a boil. Cooking time, depending on kind of noodles, is 20 minutes to 30 minutes, usually.

Adjust seasoning and serve hot. You can use cream of celery soup instead of cream of mushroom soup.
