christine's crock~pot chili

This is my very own chili recipe. Perfect for a cold day! Garnish with your favorite topping. I serve mine with cheese and a side of corn bread.

Ingredients For christine's crock~pot chili

  • 2 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 3 can
    red kidney beans, drained
  • 3 can
    light red kidney beans, drained
  • 1 md
    onion diced
  • 1 md
    green pepper diced
  • 1 lg
    jar of your favorite red sauce
  • 1 can
    tomato paste
  • 1 can
    diced tomatoes
  • 1/3 c
    chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    pepper
  • 2 Tbsp
    garlic powder
  • Tbsp
    onion powder
  • 3 c
    water
  • 2 pinch
    red pepper flake

How To Make christine's crock~pot chili

    Add drained beans, sauce, tomato paste, tomatoes, and 3 cups of water to crock pot. Stir on medium heat. In a saute pan pan cook the ground beef adding salt and pepper to taste. When beef is done pour into a strainer. Add to pot of beans and sauce. Stir in chopped green pepper, and onion. If mixture is too thick add more water. Now add red pepper flake, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Last is the chili powder. ***add as much or as little as you prefer but I use 1/3 cup. Simmer on low for 6 hours. ****add a little more water if needed.
