I love chili dogs. There was a flea market I used to go to,they would prepare the chili dogs with salsa,they were so tasty,this is how I make them. You can use a can of chili as well,but this is so quick,I prefer to make this. I don't like cheese on my chili dogs,but add cheese if you like.

Ingredients For chili dogs with salsa

1 pound lean ground beef

1 large onion,chopped small

2 t. chili powder

salt and pepper,to taste

2 cloves garlic,minced
-
1 jalapeno , seeded,minced

1 c beef broth
-
2 c tomato sauce
-
beef wieners,or your favorite wiener

1/4 c butter
-
hot dog buns
-
yellow mustard
-
tomato salsa,use your favorite,i like herdez
How To Make chili dogs with salsa

1Brown ground beef and onion in a skillet,breaking up meat. Add chili powder,salt , pepper,garlic, jalapeno,broth and tomato sauce. Simmer on low 25 minutes. Cook wieners in enough water to barely cover,cook on medium high heat,when water cooks out,add butter and brown wieners to your liking, stirring to brown evenly.I like them almost burnt. Heat buns by putting them on top of wieners a few mins. Spread mustard on buns. Add wiener,chili and top with salsa.
