It really is the best I've ever eaten! I found this in a Tennessee Farm Bureau cookbook and have made it many times. Took it to many church suppers and usually brought none home!

Ingredients For best ever meat loaf

  • 1 1/2 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1 md
    onion, chopped
  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2
    green pepper, diced
  • 1/2 c
    bread crumbs (canned)
  • 1 1/2 c
    tomato juice or v8 juice
  • 1/2 c
    ketchup
  • 3 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 2 tsp
    prepared mustard
  • 1/4 tsp
    chili powder

How To Make best ever meat loaf

  • 1
    Combine first 7 ingredients and mix well. Pack into lightly greased or sprayed loaf pan.

    Mix the next 4 ingredients (sauce) and spread over meat loaf before baking.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
