This recipe was given to me many years ago by a close friend and I have no Idea where she got it all I can say is that its hearty, filling and great on a cold night.

Ingredients For beef stew

1 1/2 lbbeef chuck, boneless

2 tbspcooking oil

3 lgpotatoes

1 16OZ cantomatoes, canned and cut up

1 cchopped onion

1chopped green pepper
-
1/2 cwater
-
1/4 TSPcinnamon

2 cloveglarlic, minced

1 TSPsalt

1/8 TSPpepper

1 cancorn, drained

2 mdzucchini ,sliced
How To Make beef stew

1In a dutch oven brown meat 1/3 at a time in hot oil,drain return all the meat to the pan, add potatoes,undrained tomatoes,onions,green peppers,water ,cinnamon,garlic,salt and pepper

2If you want you can transfer the mixture to a 3 quart casserole and bake covered in a 350 degree oven for 1 1/4 hours stir in corn and zucchini bake 45 min longer. when finished add a little more salt & pepper to taste

3I never use a casserole dish I complete the whole meal in a dutch oven.
