  • 2 C. Frozen Ground Meat Mix*
  • 1/4 C. Water
  • 16 oz. Can cut green beans (drained)
  • 10 3/4 oz. Can condensed tomato soup
  • 1/4 C. Water
  • 3/4 tsp. Salt
  • 1/8 tsp. Pepper
  • 3 med. potatoes (1 lb.) peeled, and quartered
  • 1 Egg (beaten)
  • Milk
  • 2 oz. Shredded American cheese (1/2 C.)

    In a 2 quart saucepan, combine frozen Ground Meat Mix* and 1/4 cup of water. Cover and cook over low heat for 15 minutes, break up meat mixture with a fork. Cook 5 minutes more. Drain off liquid. Stir in green beans, tomato soup, 1/4 cup water, salt, and pepper. Turn meat mixture into a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. In a covered saucepan, cook potatoes in boiling salted water about 20 minutes or just until tender; drain in a 1 quart strainer. Transfer hot potatoes to a medium size mixing bowl. Mash while hot; blend in egg. Add enough milk to make potatoes fluffy, yet stiff enough to hold their shape. Season with salt and pepper. Drop potatoes in mounds atop meat mixture. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake, uncovered, in a 350 F oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until heated through. *Ground Meat Mix recipe located in this program
