Adding rum or vodka to this plum limeade makes a delicious cocktail. With or without alcohol, the limeade should be served immediately, since it will quickly darken if left standing. Don’t be afraid to chew on the mint leaves once you’ve sipped all of your drink!

Ingredients For plum limeade

1-2fresh limes cut into 6 wedges and seeded

1 lbripe plum (red or black, quartered and pitted)

2/3 csuperfine sugar (or splenda) or sweeten to taste

1 ccold water
-
fresh mint leaves to taste
-
chilled sparkeling water to desired amount

ice cubes
-
mint leaves for garnish if disired
How To Make plum limeade

1Blend lime wedges (including peel) in a blender on high speed 10 seconds.

2Add plums, water, and sugar and blend until plums are pureed, about 15 seconds.

3Pour through a very fine sieve into a pitcher, pressing on solids. Add chilled sparkling water to desired amount.

4Stir limeade lightly and serve immediately over ice.
