This recipe was given to me, by my friend Katie. I had the pleasure of tasting it at a party she had, at her beach house in Rhode Island. I knew I must have the recipe. Enjoy!

Ingredients For rhubarb liquor

  • 6 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    water
  • 1 1/2 lb
    coarsely chopped rhubarb
  • 3 c
    vodka
  • 1/2 c
    grand marnier
  • 1 lg
    wide mouth jar

How To Make rhubarb liquor

  • 1
    Bring 6 tablespoons of sugar and 1/4 cup of water to a boil in a saucepan, stirring just until sugar dissolves; remove from heat. Cool.

    Place 1 1/2 lbs Coarsely chopped Rhubarb in a wide mouth jar. Add 3 cups Vodka, 1/2 cup Grand Marnier, or other orange flavored liquor, and cooled sugar syrup; stir.

    Screw lid on tightly; let stand at room temperature for 2 to 3 weeks or until all the color leaches out of the Rhubarb. Strain mixture through a sieve over a bowl; discard solids.
