the last word (michigan)
Don’t call it a ‘comeback’ it never went anywhere. Although, The Last Word has surged back into the spotlight the past few years, it’s been around since Prohibition. Introduced at the Detroit Athletic Club by a well-knows vaudeville star, the quartet of gin, lime juice, maraschino liqueur and Green Chartreuse might seem like a tough sell on paper. Yet, somehow, those combative elements of sweet and earthy merge into total harmony in the glass.
