goombay smash

This is a popular cocktail in the Bahamas. It was first created at the Little Blue Bee bar in Abaco (Bahamas). The recipe has been a highly guarded secret, but several attempts have been made to copy it anyway. Most "copycats" are quite good, but they miss the "secret" ingredient. The main ingredients of the original Goombay Smash are coconut rum, dirty rum, apricot brandy and pineapple juice. But the secret is in the vigorous shaking which creates a thick frothy layer on top. Give it a try, it's quite good.
