You might enjoy this warming beverage with just enough spice and citrus to soften the kick of the rum. After a few of these, folks will wonder why you're giggling uncontrollably when the snow is coming down and piling up against the windows.

Ingredients For cabin fever

  • 1¼ cups water brought just to a boil
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 chai spice black tea bags
  • 1½ ounces spiced rum
  • ⅛ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons honey

How To Make cabin fever

  • 1
    Add the tea bags and cinnamon stick to a large mug, then pour in the hot water; steep for 5 minutes.

    Remove tea bags and add the rum, vanilla and lemon; stir in the honey and allow to melt/dissolve.

    Go sit by the fire and sing, "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow."
