I have made this recipe for my family for years and every dinner we have they always ask for this. I have made it for many families when we cook for them after a loss of a loved one and every time someone ask for the recipe! We really enjoy this when the fresh strawberries are in season. Hope you enjoy it as well as we have over the years.

How To Make strawberry pudding

Wash Fresh Berries (slice and put in a pot add a little sugar over them to sweeten and stir to coat) Add gelatin and heat stirring just till gelatin and sugar is dissolved, ( I don't even let it get hot just stir till it is dissolved) DO NOT ADD WATER! Beat your milk, and pudding mixes together (I use a wire whisk) Stir in sour cream and cool whip. In a 13x9" dish layer vanilla wafers, then cool whip mixture and then drained strawberries (it's ok to get some of the juice from the berries but you don't want to use all of it will make it too soupy) Repeat layers and top with Cool Whip and I crumble a few vanilla wafers over the top just for looks. Refrigerate till set good and then enjoy.

You can use a vanilla pudding and a cheesecake pudding if you like. You can also add bananas if you like but I prefer the strawberries, bananas turn dark too fast!
