I don't remember where the recipe comes from, I have been making this for so many years. This is as good cold as it is hot. Good news is it is made in the crock pot! This has a tendcy to thick so use a teflon pan for the first step on the stove

Ingredients For indian pudding

  • 3 c
    milk
  • 1/2 c
    cornmeal
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 3 lg
    eggs
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/3 c
    molasses
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • whipped cream for garnish. we also like this with a little milk poured on it and eat it like cereal

How To Make indian pudding

    Spray the interior of your slow cooker and preheat on high for 20 minutes.

    Meanwhile bring milk, cormneal and salt to a boil, stirring constantly for 5 minutes. You will want to use a teflon pot for this as it does have a tendency to stick.

    Cover and simmer for an additional 8 to 10 minutes.

    In a large bowl combine the reamining ingredients then add bot cormneal mixture.

    Mix til smooth, pour in slow cooker and cook on low 6 to 8 hours, or on high for 2 to 3 hours.
